Bate Papo Magazine
Let me introduce the fastest growing Brazilian/Portuguese magazine that will connect your business to the Portuguese speaking clientele. Bate Papo is a monthly magazine in Portuguese and English and it is given out free at Brazilian, Portuguese and Capeverdean stores and restaurants in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Our distribution goes from Cape Cod to Nashua NH, from Worcester to Revere, from Norwood to Framingham. We are the only bilingual Brazilian and Portuguese speakers publication that covers the whole state of Massachusetts.
Bate Papo has over 15,000 copies with 40 letter size pages (8.5" x 11") all in full color and glossy paper. Bate Papo (chat in Portuguese) features articles of interest to immigrants and residents in their own language and in a simple format. We also feature articles in English to attract the American reader. Our articles help the immigrants with their basic needs and understanding the American Society.
The first issue was published in April 2006. Since then the magazine has grown and expand to new areas of distribution.
Shirley Nigri Farber, a Brazilian journalist and Stoughton resident, created the publication. Since September 2005, Mrs. Farber has hosted a successful bilingual TV show by Stoughton and Easton Comcast TV. The show is aired twice a week in towns such as Somerville, Cambridge, Framingham, Everett, Cape Cod, Taunton, Fall River, New Bedford, Marlboro, Brockton and starting soon in Lowell and Peabody.
The Bate Papo com Shirley TV show already brought to discussion important subjects for the immigrant. Bate Papo com Shirley TV is known to be informative and helpful to the Portuguese audience as well as to the local resident. The magazine includes the same kind of information she presents on her TV show.
